iPad art is one of my fave ways to past time on a plane. (ArtStudio is my preferred app: http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/artstudio-for-ipad-draw-paint/id364017607?mt=8) Thinking of creating a collection of works created while in flight. Definitely inspired by Alison Jardine’s 365 project. Bookmark this page to see how her project progresses and if she meets her goal of 365 creations by year end.
Tried out a new app on the ipad (or more accurately my 8 month old nephew did). While VolaFriends was designed for kids as young as 18 months, this 8 month old thoroughly enjoyed it and it kept his attention for at least 10 minutes, which is hours in baby time.
The concept is simple. Tap on a face and it will speak an emotion and emote a corresponding facial expression. The vibrant display, crispness of the pictures and the motley selection of actors and their facial expressions are the highlights of the app. The volume could be louder – my nephew responded to the facial expressions that were more audible, like angry. Even I had a hard time hearing some of the actors.
